Arthritis is Complex,

My name is Kevin Sinclair. I was diagnosed with Arthritis in my whole spine around age 30. I had considerable pain and discomfort in my 30's, to the point I could hardly move. At that time I did not understand about good diet, about the need for sleep, about inflammation and what I could do about it, and more. So I suffered.
Now I am in my mid-50's and I feel great, and am pain-free over 90% of the time. I make considerable effort to reduce inflammation through diet, a few supplements, daily exercise, and deep long sleep. Lowering stress can also help. I stretch daily, especially my lower back. I exercise but do everything in moderation, and I try to respect any area that is having pain. For example I never stretch 'through' pain - I stop the stretch just short of where pain would start, and then keep stretching and try to nudge that point-point a little further.
Arthritis is a chronic illness. Its always there - but then, so is aging. Having a daily focus and having some discipline can help so much. We hope this website can also help people. If you have some Arthritis knowledge, or just want to tell your story, we are looking for guest bloggers. Please contact us!
